The Community Clean-Up
Last Sunday morning, volunteers gathered at the riverside for a community clean-up event. People of all ages joined, including families with young children. Everyone received gloves and trash bags before starting. As we worked, we found plastic bottles, empty cans, and other litter that had collected over time. After two hours, the riverside looked much cleaner than before. To thank the volunteers, the organizers served sandwiches and cold drinks at the end of the event. Although I was tired, I felt proud to have spent the morning doing something useful for our community.
